This Avalanche kit contains the essentials you should carry whilst travelling in the Backcountry - Transceiver, Probe and Shovel.

Ortovox D3 Transceiver - This purely digital avalanche transceiver features intuitive operation and excellent performance to the highest level: quick and easy locating, even with multiple victims, is ensured by the digital distance display combined with an acoustic signal and the three brightly lit direction arrows. Its extensive range of approx. 40 meters saves valuable time during the refined search. The 3-antenna technology guarantees that avalanche victims are located quickly and precisely and eliminates misleading signals close by. A red LED display signals the multiple victims. Whether making a close or wide radial search, the search strategy can easily be adjusted. With features such as automatic activation and the simple change of functions between sending and receiving, even novices and less experienced users will enjoy the best protection in case of an avalanche. The D3 comes in an innovative carrying system with protective case.

Ortovox 240 PFA Light Probe - The ideal compromise between weight and price. If the depth of burial is about 1m on average, the probe 200 has a sufficient length. The different-coloured segments made from aluminium indicate the depth. The "conic" tubes and the practical express screw fastener allow a fast assemblage of the probe. The larger head of the probe drills a bore channel being larger than the diameter of the probe so that the probe can be pulled out easily and doesn't freeze.

Ortovox Compact Alu Shovel -The Compact Alu is small and compact - at least the shaft is. The 29 x 21 x 6 cm large Aluminium shovel blade is stiff and robust. The shaft attachment is riveted rather than welded. Pre-determined breaking points are thus avoided and shovel precision is increased! Product designer Christoph Kirsch used the professional Alu II, our successful product from the previous year, as a model. There is possibly no other shovel on the market that has been perfected as much as this ORTOVOX classic. Anyone who values safety as much as weight will be delighted with the Compact Alu.
