Windsurf Tuition

This Learn to Windsurf Course is a beginner’s introduction to the sport. We will quickly teach beginners all the basics of how to windsurf:

Balance, Stance, Turning, Upwind windsurfing, Self rescue

Wet n Dry Boardsports use land-based simulation, on-the-water demos and group coaching to help beginner windsurfers learn and understand the basics of windsurfing.

All of the learning is made easier through the use of modern widestyle beginner boards and light, beginner rigs.

The shallow, flat-water at Chalkwell or Eastbeach beach provide a perfect spot to learn windsurfing.

We provide you with everything you need to participate, inlcuding a high-quality, single lined glued and blind-stitched wetsuit, shoes and buoyancy aid. The only thing you need to bring is your towel.

All of our instructors are fully qualified and are hand-picked to ensure you have the best learning experience – plenty of fun whilst still learning!

We also provide 1 to 1 lessons from beginner to advanced.

SUP Tuition    

 Two hours £45 with kit all provided

This Learn to Stand Up Paddle Surf Course is a beginner’s complete introduction to the sport. 

Carrying the Equipment, How to Hold the Paddle, Stance on the Board, How to Fall, Flat Water Paddling, Different Types of Turn, Planning a Distance Route, Changing Stance to Catch a Wave and Safety

On completing this course, you will receive a BSUPA certificate.

We use land-based simulation, on-the-water demos and group coaching to help beginner SUPers learn and understand the basics of stand up paddle surfing.

Wet n Dry Boardsports have a large fleet of stand up paddle boards and paddles that are ideal for a beginner’s introduction to the sport.

The flat-water at Chalkwell, Leigh-on-sea and Benfleet  provide a perfect spot to learn SUP.

We provide you with everything you need to participate, inlcuding a high-quality, single lined glued and blind-

 stitched wetsuit, shoes and buoyancy aid.

SUP Guided Tours

£40 with kit (2 - 3 hours)

We have some great trips which covers low and high tides. Paddle to the pub, Hadleigh Castle tour, SUP with the seals, Southend Pier and Round the Island trips.

Riders Kitesurf Academy, is the closest Kitesurf school to london providing perfect conditions to learn everything from your first time flying a kite, to your first handle pass. all equipment is provided for lessons, We teach on the latest kites and only on equipment we would ride ourselves, so we know you are using the best equipment to learn with.

Riders Kite academy is run by Rob Woodford and Richard Flindall. they have over 14 years kiting experience between them and have taught worldwide . their knowledge of the sport is extensive and they know how to get you riding! both are qualified level 2 iko instructors, rob is a senior bksa instructor and richard is a bksa competition judge and competes on the bksa pro tour.

The school is based at Shoebury East Beach, where we can teach in all directions and safe wind conditions. All lessons are in knee-to-waist deep water which makes our lessons unique from most other schools and locations.

Our courses run all though the summer season from March until it gets to cold. 

Courses that run for more that one day do not have to be completed on consecutive days.

If you would prefer to split your course over several weekends or even throughout the week we can accommodate this. We understand that it people can not always make the whole weekend.
